Certified Insurance Agents are now able to complete most Consumer delegations
electronically by using a DocuSign form! This guide explains how to complete the DocuSign
form in order to have the delegation processed.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. If a Consumer has more than one CalHEERS case, you will be notified via email once the
Service Center Representative finds multiple cases. To complete a delegation for a
consumer with more than one case, you will need to call the Agent Service Center so the
Service Center Representative can work with the Consumer to identify which is the
correct case to delegate. (Only about 15% of delegation requests have shown multiple
Consumer cases, so submitting DocuSign delegation requests will be the fastest option
for most consumers.)
2. It is very important that you complete the DocuSign COMPLETELY and ACCURATELY in
order for the Service Center Representative to process the delegation request. A Service
Center Representative does not have the legal authority to correct or amend
information on your behalf.
